Cheyenne Fancy CTA

(Hidasar Cheyenne Moon x Prides Fantasia)
2001 Bay Tri-Colored Tobiano Pinto Arabian
HAHR and PtHA registered
31/32 Arabian. Tobiano Pinto Filly

Fancy is a rare reg 31/32 Arabian whose offspring will be Pintabian producers. Fancy is actually 63/64 Arabian by blood as her nonArabian Lineage traces to Peppy Gayzona, whose dam was an unregistered Half Arabian sired by the Crabbet stallion Radfan (ref All Breed Pedigree Database. Fancy is about 15H tall with long legs, a level croup (that needs no special posing to achieve) and an elegant shapely neck and head. Her legs are perfectly straight and as our farrier quoted "requires no special trimming" to have her stand square and true. She has a few homozygous type of spotting in her white which would indicate that she may be a high percentage tobiano pinto producer. She is a rare high percentage Crabbet Arabian bred horse that are known for their athletic abilities, trainability and gentle willing dispositions. Many of the top halter and performance horses of the past and today can trace a line to Crabbet. Even when you think you are buying "Straight Russian" you may find that the lineage traces to Crabbet horses that were purchased as foundation stock from Crabbet Park. Crabbet horses were sold all over the World, USA, Austraila, Egypt, Poland, Sweden, Russia, and on and on. Crabbet horses have been used so often to improve on other Arabian strains that pure Crabbet is hard to find anymore, especially if one is looking for the taller 15.2H+ size Crabbet bred strain of horses. Fancy's dam was a granddaughter of Aurab(1957-1979) a big beautiful Chestnut stallion that was described by Lady Anne Lytton ( Crabbet Park) in 1977 as "Aurab impressed me as the most striking and perfect Arab I'd seen". Aurab ( pictured to the left and below) was advanced in age at that time and could not have been moved to England, so a representative son of Aurab, Ben Rabba, became the first American horse to be leased back to England and subseqently sired several British National Champion horses.AurabThese are the type of horses that are "born broke" and are not high maintenance hot headed horses and they don't require daily riding to keep them tuned up so they can be ridden. Her Half Sisters, TC Annatasia and Maestros Ariel can be pulled out of a pasture, without having been ridden for years, saddled up and ridden safely on the trails without prior lunging. Fancy was started under saddle without any prior ground work. She was saddled up and ridden with a Western Saddle and a Flat Halter with reins attached to the side of the halter. On her 3rd ride she was ridden out in the rain, crossing a creek along lakeside trails as if she had been ridden for years. These type of horses are worth their weight in gold and this is something that is bred in and cannot be trained in. It is the "live in your tent" disposition that the Arabs bred into the first purebred Arabian horse where loyalty from your horse was crucial for survival in the desert.

CHeyenne Fancy month oldThis filly has been special from the start. She is the last foal from my foundation Crabbet Arabian mare, Prides Fantasia (pictured below),that vets said would never conceive again at her advanced age. She is Fantasia's only Half-Arabian foal and only Pinto Foal. The odds of Fantasia becoming pregnant , having a filly and producing a colored pinto foal with great markings on both sides was extremley remote, thus we believe Fancy has some special role to play.Prides Fantasia Fancy's purebred Arabian half sisters, Maestros Ariel and TC Annatasia are both multiple World Champion PtHA producing mares of 50% Arabian Pinto offspring. Fancy's offspring will be 98%+ Arabian, with even more Arabian type and representing over 20 years of Pinto Arabian breeding! Fancy always carries her tail high over her back as she runs across the pasture. Even as a baby you could see she was going to be something fancy, hence her name became Cheyenne Fancy CTA. She has very special pinto markings. She carries a white heart shape under her mane on her right side. On her left side is a representation of a caveman drawing of a llama or ram. She has beautiful white stockings that are accented by the black stockings on her knees. She has a beautiful long tail with white on the top and black on the bottom. Her eyes are very big and expressive. She loves attention and will follow you around the pasture. She is extremely gentle, loves people and is extremely easy to work with, she even lets you trim the inside of her ears without a twitch.

Hidasar CheyenneMoonFancy's sire, Hidasar Cheyenne Moon, was a very charismatically beautiful stallion that captivated people with his personality as he ran in our pastures. He was a 15/16 Arabian Tri-Colored Tobiano Pinto stallion that represented some of the most beautiful Polish and Crabbet lines of the past. Cheyenne was a State Fair of Texas Halter champion as a young horse and sired a Pinto Arabian filly that was exported to Costa Rica to start their foundation Pinto Arabian breeding program.

We bred Fancy to our black Arabian stallion, La Black Legacy, for a 2006 foal to create the next generation of 63/64 Arabian horses carrying on the Crabbet disposition and adding the exotic beauty and size of Legacy's bloodlines through The Minstril and Ruminaja, this colt has been sold.
